Canary Painters — last updated July 2026

1. Who you’re booking with

Canary Painters is run by Daniela Spasic-Jovanovski, trading as Jovaarts.

NIE Z2470197W Calle Los Sabandeños 6, Bloque B, 38530 Candelaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife hola@canarypainters.com

2. What’s included

Every workshop includes:

  • A guided painting session — no experience needed
  • Two mini canvases (7 × 7 cm) to take home
  • All materials: paints, brushes, aprons
  • Two glasses of wine
  • A cheese platter

Workshops run for about two hours at Sin Pena — Coffee, Tapas, Brunch & Cocktails, C.C. San Blas, Local 13, 38639 Oasis del Sur.

Wine is included, but it’s not compulsory. Sin Pena also serves coffee and soft drinks — just say what you’d like on the night. No explanation needed.

3. Age

Our workshops are for guests aged 18 and over. It’s a relaxed evening with wine and good company, and it isn’t really designed for children.

4. Booking and payment

Book through canarypainters.com. Your place is confirmed once payment goes through.

The price is 35 € per person, including 7 % IGIC. Payment is by card, handled by SumUp — we never see or store your card details. You’ll get an invoice by e-mail.

The charge may appear on your bank statement as JOVAARTS.

5. Group size and confirmation

Each workshop runs with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 guests.

48 hours before the workshop we’ll email you to confirm it’s going ahead.

If we haven’t reached the minimum, we’ll cancel and you can choose:

  • another date — tell us which one suits you
  • a voucher, valid for 12 months
  • a full refund to your card

If we don’t hear from you within a few days, we’ll simply refund you. Refunds usually arrive within 3 to 10 working days.

6. If you need to cancel

More than 48 hours before: rebook, take a voucher, or get a full refund. Just email us.

Less than 48 hours before: the ticket is non-refundable. By then we’ve already bought your materials and food.

You’re welcome to send someone else in your place at any time — just let us know their name beforehand.

7. Running late

Please arrive on time; we start promptly and can’t hold up the group.

If you’re late, come anyway — we’d rather you paint than miss out. You’ll have less guided time and may need to work more freely on your own, but the wine, the canvases and the company are all still yours.

If you don’t turn up at all and haven’t told us, the ticket isn’t refundable.

8. If we have to cancel

Besides not reaching the minimum group size, we may occasionally have to cancel for reasons outside our control — illness, venue closure, severe weather. You’ll get the same three options: another date, a voucher, or a full refund.

We can’t cover other costs you may have had, such as travel or accommodation.

9. Behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone who is clearly intoxicated or behaving in a way that spoils the evening for others. No refund in that case.

10. Allergies and dietary needs

The cheese platter contains dairy. Our paints are water-based and non-toxic.

If you have allergies or dietary requirements, tell us when you book and we’ll do our best to arrange something — though we can’t promise every alternative.

11. Your paintings

The two canvases you paint are yours to take home. Acrylic dries quickly, but if a piece is still wet we’ll wrap it for you.

If you leave a painting behind, we’ll keep it safe and get in touch to arrange getting it to you. We’ll hold it for four weeks.

12. Photos

We sometimes take photos during workshops for our website and social media. If you’d rather not appear in any of them, just tell us on the night — no explanation needed.

13. Collector’s pass

Come back and collect stamps. On your third workshop with us, you’ll receive an original painting by Daniela as a gift.

The pass is personal to you and doesn’t expire. We’ll choose a painting we think suits you. If you lose your pass, let us know — we keep a record of your bookings.

14. Liability

We take care to run a safe, relaxed evening, but we’re not liable for damage to personal belongings or for stains on clothing. We provide aprons, but paint is paint — best not to wear your favourite white shirt.

15. Data protection

We collect your name, email and phone number to manage your booking and send confirmations. Your payment is handled by SumUp; we don’t store card details. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

16. Changes and governing law

We may update these conditions from time to time. The version that applies to your booking is the one published when you booked.

These conditions are governed by Spanish law.
